Pecan Hollow Golf Course is home to the Plano Senior Men’s Golf Association and Gals’ in Golf. These two organizations have been part of Pecan Hollow for many years. Here is some information on both leagues.
PSMGA, Plano Senior Men’s Golf Association
Formed in 1989 as a not for profit organization, Plano Senior Men’s Golf Association is open to amateur senior men (age 55 and older) golfers. Tournaments are held year round at the Pecan Hollow Golf Course in Plano, TX. All tournaments are shotgun starts at various morning start times, depending on time of year. Monday tournaments use the Silver Tees, (approx. 6000 yards) and Thursday tournaments use the Gold Tees, (approx. 5200 yards). Members may play in either or both tournaments.
Most tournaments are individual and flighted by handicap, with an occasional best ball, shamble, and scramble. Special annual tournaments include: Spring 2-day, Fall 2-day, match play, and “Plano Cup” competition against the Ridgeview Ranch Senior Golf Association.
Participants pay an entry fee and prizes are awarded after each tournament. Optional side games, include Closest to Pin on Par 3’s and Hole in One. Please refer to New Member Guidelines on this home page for more information.
Gals’ in Golf
The purpose of our organization is to provide for congenial and sociable 18 hole competition, while enjoying golf at Pecan Hollow Golf Course. Our Ladies Play Day is Wednesday mornings from March through October. Tee times vary with the season.
In addition to weekly Play Days, we generally have five shotgun scrambles during the season. This is a great social event with teams assigned by the Pro Shop. It allows members to mix and meet with various players.
Please join us for a fun season of golf. If you have any questions, please call or visit the Pecan Hollow Pro Shop at 972-941-7600. Applications can be found in the Ladies Locker Room on the lower level of the clubhouse.
Come interact with other female golfers for the love and joy of the game of golf.
